The Project of GIST Academy

History of GIST School:

GIST School is a project of GIST ACADEMY which has been started in 2011, at Ferozewala village of Pakistan, the rearward area of Gujranwala, to endorse education among disadvantaged people who have ambitions and dreams in their hearts to lead well- equipped life with all basic necessities, but don’t have proper awareness and finance to fulfill their dreams. The patron of this school, Mr. Hamid Masih who is a Govt. retired teacher, felt his community’s grief and thought to start this school. In the meantime, some disadvantaged people also expressed their desire to have school in this town which could change the life of destitute kids , show them the bright path and prosperous destiny. Mr. Hamid Masih took final decision on April 1, 2011 to start the school and the ray of hope for that area was appeared.

This school has been established for the sake of giving knowledge to the disadvantaged people on charity bases, to uplift the lives of the people of this region with international researched knowledge and make them able to lead their lives with honour and respect, and have better chance not only to become better citizen for their own country but be the proud for global community also.

Mr. Hamid Masih has taken initial start from his own home and converted his own residence into school. GIST SCHOOL was primarily started from class PG (play group) and recently, the school comprises five LEVELS i.e. PG, NURSERY, PREP, ONE, TWO and three. The school is progressing by the meticulous effort of staff and patron and moving towards its set height steadfastly. By the grace of Jesus Christ, it will bring sure change in the life of disadvantaged people and become the definite source to strengthen peace in society.

Principal’s Message:

I am Hamid Masih Government retired teacher. I served Pakistani nation for forty years and tried my best to educate at my best level and produced doctors, engineers, teachers, politicians etc who are working and serving this country with dedication and loyalty. This is the reason, I want to continue this sacred work and impart knowledge among those people who are unaware of the qualities of education and don’t have proper source of bearing expenses of it. So let’s have hand in hand and brighten the future of Pakistani deserved kids with their soft hearts and kind contribution.

Director’ s Message:

The director of Gist school and academy said on the completion of one year of GIST SCHOOL ‘peace is only possible through education. Teachers and students should be practical in their maxim. They should accept and appreciate identity of each individual if somebody has something better for peace through education for disadvantaged people putting aside personal grudges and issues. They should try their best to promote and indoctrinate self-confidence, integrity, and diverse celebration to foster autonomous thinking and encourage life-long learning.’

Medical Facility in School:

There is a medical facility for the students. A medical trained officer executes her obligation for casualty.

Future Plans:

We are intended to make this school a Secondary High School, College and university to facilitate the disadvantaged students of this region and delimited areas of this town. We also have a plan to start hostel for the disadvantaged female students. We want to instill the awareness to lead independent and prosperous life free from fears.

Parents’ Day:
The management of Gist School has created a tradition to hold parents’ day in the school after each semester. Parents’ are invited to see the activities of school and to listen any complain if they have related to curricular and co-curricular activities. Parents’ are appreciated for their concern if they have better suggestions or plan and the importance of triangle of parents, teachers and students is ensured time and again.

Prize Distribution:
Prize distribution program is held in the school every year. In which prizes are given to the students who perform well throughout the year and failures are advised to work hard. Parents’ are also encouraged by making them wear garland and by the round of applause. They are reminded their responsibilities and are encouraged to familiarized with the importance and power of education. Extra classes are arranged for the failures and planes are made of counseling sessions for the academic year. Teachers’ refresher courses are conducted and emphasis is given to prepare individual student profile to brighten the student’s future.

Sports ‘ Day:
Gist school where give its best to grow students well in academic there it performs an active role to provide them better opportunity of game to grow. Keeping in view, game period is given to the students every day because management believes that ‘’ healthy mind is in healthy body’’. Annual sports’ Day is celebrated with full enthusiasm to instill the instinct of games which teach harmony, unity, patience, endurance, integrity, defense and acceptance.
